janet, i read the story on how you helped the handicapped man clean himself up, and wash his clothes and shoes. a really shitty job literally but you did it like it was nothing. most would probably seal up the toilet and leave it for the cleaners. i take my hat off to you. excellent service!

Thanks Alvin,

I'm glad you read my book and have a deeper understanding of what we go through onboard at times. It is plain sailing most of the time, meaning no irate passengers, 'service cockups' ( in our terms - service lapse) or medical emergency. Most of us work hard because we are very proud of our airline.

The toilet case still haunts me because i felt his anguish back then. The look in his eyes. His pants all stained with shit. A gun to shoot himself...

It is not everyday that a passenger says that to a total stranger who is trying to clean him up while being stuck in a cramped, smelly toilet. I know that many of my colleagues would have done that. And it's not the training we went through. It is simply the human heart that would naturally prompt us to do so.

your girl's 8 ? Err ... does Daddy have to vet it first ? Afterall, Auntie Janet may have some expressive words in there that might have her asking 'daddy, daddy, what does Mile High Club mean?"

But wow, if she can understand an adult book...

Hi Janet

Just finished reading the book I have to say this book is a keeper. Your explanation and the terms you used is simply brilliant. It conveys the mood behind some of the decision you make. It has been a while since I have been unable to put down a book. My behavior prompt my wife to be interested in the book too.

Keep up the great work. Maybe we can get more stories of your flying days out in another book.

Regards

Thank you very much Guardsman ... and Mrs Guardsman as well. Words of encouragement are a true balm for the weary writer. The months of work have paid off in a manner that can never be summed up tangibly.

Hi Nuwuul,

I'm glad you enjoyed the read. :) 4 times?! I beat you to it. Read it more than a dozen, haha. But frankly, every now and then, i'll pick it up and start from a random page. Each time, the pages bring back indelible memories...

I hate to tell you this but the last time i checked, private dip is not considered. If i were you, i'll apply all the same. Needless to say, it helps if your result slip is more than stirling.

Criteria is subject to change, especially during times when the demand of cabin crew is higher than that of supply. So don't give up gal.
