It's great to hear from the passengers' side. It reminds me of the time when i deliberately messed up the bed just so that no 'one' could consider using it apart from me! I wonder who came up with that bright idea?!

Wouldn't it be great to collate more of such tales and have our very own collection of travel stories, tales from the crypt ?

I have never had an experience like those described, BUT here are a couple of fun stories:

- Upon entering a room in London after checking in very late at night, I found a couple already in the room, and, let's just say they were having some good fun and getting exercise in bed...I very quickly backed out and went back to reception to get a different room!

- After checking in to a room on the 5th floor of a hotel in New Orleans, I threw my stuff on the bed and proceeded to take a much needed shower. After coming out from the shower wearing nothing but a smile, I was surprised to see that there were people just outside the large window (now I realize that it was a glass door) on the other side of my room! As it turned out, this was the pool level and I was given a room with access directly to the pool. Had I realized that earlier I would have closed the shades. At this point the ladies walking by outside got a look (and hopefully not a laugh!)

. After checking into a beautiful suite (I was upgraded) in Los Angeles, I was checking out the room and found a red bra hanging on a French door leading to the bedroom. Being the cautious man that I am, I had to check out the situation! Fortunately (or unfortunately) I found that all that was in the room was the bra. I called housekeeping and the chambermaid that came to retrieve the bra was red in the face (as red as the bra) which made me wonder if it were hers and she had been using the room for some recreation!

I have other stories...if you are interested, just ask!

i have spooky tales to share too!

Stayed in a particular Bangkok hotel with a group of relatives last year and one of them couldn't sleep the entire night because someone next door had the TV volume up to max. She complained eventually, after waiting patiently for the guest to go to sleep. Went to knock on the door but the guest did not open the door.

Finally no choice, went downstairs to call reception. They told her that no one checked into that room!
When she went back to her own room, all was quiet ...
