Someone once pointed this out - Is there a quota for non-chinese pilots in our national airline ? I've no idea, but i guess not. Looking at the cabin crew, there doesn't seem to be much of a racial quota. But there definitely are a lot of Malaysian pilots here in Singapore, many which are promoted to Captains before the ripe old age of 35.

Someone mentioned that it's relatively easier to apply for cargo first before making the switch to commercial. Have yet to ask any pilot to verify that.. but one did raise tiny concerns about having to self-help during meal-time. And when there's only Captain and the first officer onboard the plane, guess who plays chef ?

that's not true janet...whenever an interview is conducted...its for all 3..ie. the airline, cargo n silkair.
cadets will be told where they'll be joining when they start their training but if u r a girl...definately will be silkair : )

thanks for clearing that up Flyer ... is there a preferred fleet ? Why does the cabin crew in general find techcrew from Elelphant Academy less amicable than the others ? I could never figure that statement out.
